Legal Staff
Alison Lewis A solicitor who practices family work exclusively and has worked in this area of law for a number of years. She is a member of Resolution and seeks to negotiate the breakdown of relationships with minimal rancour and as little damaging effect to the parties and their children as possible.
Ed Mallen A non qualified personal injury executive, Ed has practised in personal injury law for in excess of 20 years working for both claimant and defendant practices, including major insurer defendant clients.Ed is also experienced in Debt collection and property recovery matters in the courts.
Paul Bird Is the firms principal and has been qualified as a solicitor for over 25 years. In this time he has gained considerable experience of working in a variety of areas of law. Paul tends to concentrate on Criminal and commercial as well as advising and representing clients in connection with disciplinary misconduct matters (especially police officers). Paul also supervises many areas of the firms practice.
Rosie Bamford Trainee solicitor Rosie has to gain experience in a variety of areas of law during her training. She will work with both Paul and Alison on various clients matters to gain that experience and will be given greater levels of contact and responsibility as she progresses towards qualifying
As a former employee of the HMRC Rosie has considerable experience and knowledge of a variety of tax matters such as IHT in probate situations as well as knowledge of their procedures.
Support Staff
Julie Majek Is the firm’s bookkeeper and office manager. Julie has been with the firm for a number of years and was previously employed in various accounting roles.
Ann Jones As Paul Bird’s secretary for a number of years Ann is an experienced assistant and familiar with most aspects of Paul’s work.
Julie Corbett Julie is the Family department secretary primarily working with Alison Lewis.
Maggi Bird Maggi is the firms telephonist/receptionist meeting and greeting our clients. Maggi also speaks Italian reasonably fluently.
